თ ა რ გ მ ა ნ ი: ესეცა დიდი ბრალობაჲ არს, უკუეთუ ვის სახე და წესი წინამძღურობისაჲ აქუნდეს და არა სარგებელ ეყოფოდის კაცთა. ხოლო უკუეთუ ავნებდესცა და აყენებდეს შესლვად ცხორებასა, რაჲ-მე იყოს ნუგეშინის-ცემაჲ მისი? ესრეთ იყვნეს უღმრთონი იგი; ოდეს უბრძანებდიან, ესოდენ დაამძიმიან ტჳრთი სხუათა ზედა, რომელ ყოვლადვე ვერ უძლის ტჳრთვად, ხოლო ოდეს მათ უჴმნ კეთილისა რაჲსმე ყოფად, ესოდენ წინააღმდგომსა იქმოდიან, ვიდრეღა სახე ბოროტისა ექმნიან ყოველთა. ესენი არიან ჭეშმარიტად უსჯულონი, რომელთა საქმედ ეპყრა სხუათა წარწყმედაჲ. რამეთუ საქმე მოძღურისა და წინამძღურისაჲ არს მოძიებაჲ და ცხორებაჲ წარწყმედულთაჲ, ხოლო წარწყმედაჲ ცხორებად მიმავალ-თაჲ საქმე არს უშჯულოთაჲ. არამედ ისმინეთ კუალად სხუაჲცა უძჳრესი ბრალობაჲ მათი:

13. But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.14. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.15. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.
